Carole “Jules” Padazzle
Padazzl stands at the forefront of Paradoux, championing the transformative power of artistic expression. Their mission is clear: to empower artists by creating a community where creativity knows no bounds. Here, artists from diverse backgrounds can showcase their work, connect with peers globally, and gain the recognition they deserve.
With a particular fascination for experimental pieces that delve into the juxtaposition of dark themes against a seemingly happy surface, Padazzl believes in art’s profound ability to provoke thought. This approach not only sparks conversations but also fosters deeper connections among people, encouraging an exploration of shared human experiences.
I live to inspire visions of a world built on art.
To some, theatre will forever be known as a portal to another world, a way to get away from the struggles of daily life, an escape. I hate that. There are two philosophies I live by: do all in the name of art and let art be done by all. There are too many untold stories. There are too many brilliant minds without a canvas and too many canvases who haven't found their brilliant minds. Theatre is the art of the people, yet the people are stuck in the same box. The art I produce is for every story. My art is not a portal for people to escape, but a place for people to meet with art. An experience that allows people to breathe the same air as the characters before them. My art inspires audiences to touch, taste, smell, see, and hear so that we can all recognize the artist we are. This is how we foster creativity in a world made of art. This is how we call to those who lack exposure. This is how every story makes its way to the light. This is why I create.
I went to a small school for most of my life. The one thing they taught was the importance of creativity in everything we do. I took this to heart. A straight path will only take you to your destination, a curved path will show you a world less traveled. I noticed fear in the eyes of my peers. The visions they had were so beautifully detailed, but they had no idea how to materialize them. That called me, and I made sure we saw the work they wanted to do. This act of care build is what is needed to build houses out of wood and nails.
When I went off to college in New Orleans, I was certain that my eyes would be opened by new ways of conceptualizing art. Instead, I noticed the same recurring thought processes: It has never been done before, I don't think people will like it, and I don't know how to do it. I will help them see their dreams realized. The point of humanity is to create; thus, it is our job to foster visions and see them through. This is the end goal for my art. A task never to be truly completed, but a task to pass on to the next human for eternity.
